On July 20th, 2017, the world of alternative rock stood still with news of Chester Bennington’s suicide. The Linkin Park lead vocalist was found hanged at his apartment in Los Angeles. For the past three months, we mourned his death – in fact, we continue to mourn. However, to pay tribute to this talented soul, musicians from across the US decided to play a memorial concert at the Hollywood Bowl last night.
To reach out to all Chester’s fans, the performance was broadcast live via Youtube at 7:30 pm (PST). Sadly, not all of us were able to live stream this epic concert due to time zone issues, BUT Youtube has made it available for everyone to view. Whether you saw it first-hand and want to view it again, or want to watch it after the initial performance (and will watch it again) – check out the link below.
In my opinion, one of the most heart-rendering parts of the performance is where fans paid tribute to the late Bennington by signing his vocals for the hit single ‘In The End’.
