Maluscomas – Lost In This Feeling (2025)
Known for his weaving of evocative lyricism, raw emotion and engaging melodies, guitarist and singer-songwriter Maluscomas (also known as Amit Vyas) connects with audiences in that part of the brain where language stops and the only communication is music. Moreover, Maluscomas’ music is more than a composition; he draws inspiration from the culturally rich sounds of Jodhpur, India, capturing the deep-rooted traditional music of his hometown with a contemporary flair. The latest addition to his discography is the single, ‘Lost In This Feeling’.
A highly anticipated release, ‘Lost In This Feeling’ is Maluscomas’ first single since the well-received 2022 album, The Other Side Of Peace. As a conceptual album – a rarity in the Indian music scene – The Other Side Of Peace is a boundary-breaking 8 tracks, making a “bold attempt to break through…” With ‘Lost In This Feeling’, Maluscomas continues to share raw emotions with listeners; however, it is considered more personal, intimate and tender. Maluscomas explains:
“This song is a direct reflection of the incredible connection I share with my wife. Every lyric, every note was born from the immense gratitude and adoration I feel for her. It’s about being so completely intertwined with another person that you lose yourself in the beauty of that shared existence, and it’s a feeling I wanted to convey as authentically as possible.”
Exploring the complexities of human relationships with profound weightiness and smile-inducing sincerity, ‘Lost In This Feeling’ has a poetic quality that beautifully captures the essence of true love. Lyrically, the track is significant and very tender, but the melody is as emotionally aware. Self-composed and produced, the twinkling piano seems to guide you into that secret garden of romance – then you add pounding drums and dynamic guitars to the melody, offering something deeper, heavier, and more kaleidoscopic.
For me, a slight reminiscence of Three Doors Down exists, particularly as the gruff vocals weave along the alternative rock tune. A particular shout-out must be given to the guitar riffs delicately placed to crescendo the emotion, while the simplistic twinkle of smiling love veils the tune. Sincere, introspective, honest, and genuine, ‘Lost In This Feeling’ will leave you floating on a sonic bubble and, well, lost in that feeling.
