NBP Human – You Know Me (2025)
Pouring years of dedication, passion and commitment to creating moving music, NBP Human is the expression of celebrated life, love, and sometimes loss. Hailing from Budapest, Hungary, singer-songwriter Balazs Janky – performing as NBP Human – delicately captures and unpicks those raw human emotions that are sometimes impossible to pin down, let alone communicate. Originally formed in the 90s, but revived with great zeal, this musical project is turning international heads as Janky saunters into the 21st century with his 2025 single ‘Morbid Craziness’. The latest addition to his growing discography is the single, ‘You Know Me’.
Following ‘The Fundaments’ and ‘We’ve Got The Moment’, NBP Human showcases retains the vintage rock sound heard in his previous material, but approaches a slower, mellifluous, soothing love ballad. Yet, while NBP Human dazzles with the combination of strings and an acoustic guitar, offering a haunting sensation as the song begins, the concoction of crashing rock drums, soaring guitars and a bold bass crescendo pushes a heavier, weightier vibe. Only to be halted with a melancholy piano that leads us out with a tremor and ethereal shiver.
Self-produced, composed and performed by Balazs Janky, with mixing and mastering by Zsolt Gyulai, ‘You Know Me’ is not merely a rush of moving music, but also a vivid, immersive experience. As a love song, each note takes you to another breath of intimacy; from the silvery strings kicking at yearning and desire, then the crashing instruments flood with the hard-hitting thump of pure love, and the petering out of a single, powerful, piano-led calm.
