Randy C Moore – Forget Me Not (2026)
Since the age of 15, singer-songwriter Randy C Moore has firmly rooted himself in the Nashville country music scene. Hailing from Humble, Texas, Moore was making his own records as a teenager, receiving regular airplay for his first single, featuring on the world-famous Gilley’s club in Pasadena, Texas, and by the time he graduated high school, he was featured on WSM’s Grand Ole Opry. Skip ahead several years, and Moore has shared the stage with Bruce Springsteen, Bon Jovi, Phoebe Snow, LeAnne Rimes, Amy Grant and Hank Williams Jr. – just to name a few. Moreover, he’s performed from China to Denmark and the majority of the USA states, showcasing an enthusiasm, energy, and confidence that is just plain infectious.
Following his 2025 cover of Harry Chapin’s ‘Cat’s In The Cradle’, Randy C Moore steps into 2026 with his original single, ‘Forget Me Not’. Recorded and produced by Barry C Sanders, ‘Forget Me Not’ is a solid Americana tune binding the best of country with a slip of blues in the two-and-a-half minute melody. Weaving a twanging pedal steel with bold guitar, flutters of a bass and a pulsating drum hitting in the background, the single is mellifluous, tender and easy on the ears. Yet, within the calm charm, darkness seems to linger, hinting at something more poignant and profound than airy and gentle.
Penned by Moore, ‘Forget Me Not’ is a reflective single exploring the more challenging side of reality; it “tells a tale as old as humanity about the bright beginnings of a life’s journey to the harsh realities that lie ahead, resulting in a single prayer for salvation and redemption.” For me, the country melody already has that soul-stirring dig into your chest, inserting a breathtaking, almost eerie sensation. Yet, Moore’s vocals are what really make the prayer take shape. Exhausted, tired, and brimming with a poignant melancholy, Moore has us hitting the repeat button for ‘Forget Me Not’, even though it’s a little chilling.
Sincere, sentimental and honest, ‘Forget Me Not’ is a fantastic introduction to Randy C Moore.
