Camille K – Good Fight (2025)
Raised in a home brimming with diverse musical sounds, Camille K sauntered through soul, RnB, love songs, classic rock and pop; today, she binds those influences with her brand of contemporary pop. While she began her musical journey performing at age 11, most will know her as the spectacular contestant on America’s Got Talent in 2022. Since then, her confident presence and powerful vocals are turning international heads, as well as her performances with Flo Rida, Ja Rule, Lit, LFO and O-Town winning audiences. Her first saunter into 2025, ‘Good Fight’ follows the remixes of ‘Daydreamer’ in 2024 and 2023’s well-received ‘Pay Attention’. Unlike ‘Pay Attention’, which seemed to have a soulful, soothing, slower pop shine, ‘Good Fight’ is more upbeat and boasts a smile-inducing joviality. Recorded and produced with multi-platinum producers Klubjumpers, the new track leans further toward 90s/early 2000s pop – think something between Taylor Swift and a female Ed Sheeran.
Sophisticated and polished, Klubjumpers prove why they’re just so good at what they do, and Camille K brings her skills with silvery vocals. A concoction of shimmering synths and a pulsating beat offers an ethereal, silky, almost sonic haze-like ambience to ‘Good Fight’. Happy, laidback and brimming with gentleness, ‘Good Fight’ has a way of soothing your nerves and making things alright. Offering a breath of fresh air in a muggy world, Friday has just become a little better for me.
Melodically, ‘Good Fight’ has everything you need from a danceable, infectious pop tune; however, it is the lyricism – executed with rich, warm vocals – that ups the ante on the happiness side of things. Penned by Camille K, Henry Vargas, and Robert D Schwartz, the new track touches on the power of the human spirit. With a sparkling voice, Camille K sings about resilience, perseverance, empowerment, and chasing dreams. Sincere, sentimental and an anthem for those who might be a little at sea, ‘Good Fight’ is a song to inspire.
