G-Sinnz – Tartara (2025)

A pioneer in the UK music scene, musician G-Sinnz brings listeners a unique blend of Latin and Caribbean sounds. Specialising in genres like dancehall and reggaeton, one imagines a rhythmic groove of chilled-out beats washed with kaleidoscopic danceability – and that’s pretty much what G-Sinnz gives you, adding his unique flair to the mix. This is my introduction to the producer, but he is no stranger in the music industry. The man behind Caricom Music – a UK-based record label pushing Caribbean and urban Latin music – G-Sinnz is eager to introduce compelling and authentic sounds with eclectic collaborations. We join the party today by taking a gander at his most recent release, ‘Tartara’.

Following his single ‘Baile Intimo’, ‘Tartara’ entwines aspects of hip-hop and reggaeton within a web of Latin rap-infused music. Co-produced with Smash Productions and quimiobb, the single embraces duality in its almost three minutes of moving music. Brashness meets mellifluous flow; sophisticated maturity meets raw vulnerability; soothing and sass meets abrupt “in your face” beats – each note, each moment, each fleck of ‘Tartara’ oozes innovative originality.

A bold combination of pulsating beats and shimmering percussion offers a synth-esque dance element; however, the smooth silkiness of roots reggae gets you swaying along to the Jamaican flavour. Interestingly, as much as there is the sweetness of reggae in the track, the Latin hip-hop tone kicks in some spice. With X Ledher’s hard-hitting rap inserting brashness, Colombian songstress Hey Haad irons it all out with her silky vocals.

Now, I have no idea what X Ledher and Hey Haad are talking about as ‘Tartara’ has Spanish lyrics, but honestly, I don’t care. It all sounds fantastic, and probably sexier than if I understood the words. As I mentioned, this is my introduction to G-Sinnz, but I am eager to hear more from him and his diverse collaborators.

“’Tartara’ represents movement, momentum, and knowing your worth. It’s about setting the pace, blocking negativity, and stepping into your own light – whether that’s through music, success, or life’s everyday grind.” – G-Sinnz on ‘Tartara’
