Lucia – Take It Off (2026)
With her petite frame and powerhouse vocals, singer-songwriter Lucia is a pocket rocket, a firecracker, and a tiny tempest in a teacup. Inspired by iconic artists like Madonna and Kylie Minogue, who also happens to be a pocket rocket, Lucia’s music brings the vintage flair of old-school pop with contemporary pop confidence, making it appealing for pretty much, damn near anyone who fancies a passionate punch of pop. The latest addition to her discography is the single, ‘Take It Off’.
Musically trained with Grade 6 piano and self-taught guitar, Lucia draws together technical skill and informal creativity in her music. Following her 2025 single, ‘Sweet Champagne’, she stomps into the new year with ‘Take It Off’ – a sensually underlined track that is both spicy and laced with profound themes. Produced by Richard Pilkington, ‘Take It Off’ hits you in the face with the pulsating beats of electronic-pop, quickly joined by the shimmering synths and whirlpool rush of dance-pop. Yet, as much as the single is bouncy and set for any dancefloor, it is the Latin-influenced vibe that adds something special to the track.
Sexuality and sassy sensuality are clear from the get-go as ‘Take It Off’ alludes to a heated night of passion – particularly with the repeated line, “I’m gonna take it off”. Then again, just as this might lean to delicate undressing or maybe hasty flinging of clothes, the lyrics can allude to empowerment and strength, discarding vulnerability, fragility and fear. It’s all about individual interpretation, as Lucia allows people to take what they want or need from her music.
Fun, reckless, and infectious, Lucia turns heads with her music, and particularly with the rambunctious ‘Take It Off’.
In addition to the single, Lucia released an official music video for ‘Take It Off’. You can view the video below and/or on her YouTube channel. Please note that this video uses lighting effects that can trigger seizures in people with photosensitive epilepsy. Viewer discretion is STRONGLY advised.
