The Muster Point Project – Believe In Yourself (2025)
Spearheaded by singer-songwriter Kevin Franco, The Muster Point Project is a melodic rush of music engulfing you in raw, emotional sound, sending chills down your spine and tingles up your toes with a colourful woosh. Already on our radar, The Muster Point Project made its way across our virtual desk with the country-inspired song ‘What It’s Doing To You’; since then, we’ve kept our eye on the US-based Franco, enjoying various varieties of rock, pop, and a touch of folk. The latest addition to the critically acclaimed discography is ‘Believe In Yourself’.
Following the well-received singles ‘Stuck In Transit’ and ‘Looked Good On Paper’, ‘Believe In Yourself’ is a soothing blend of classic rock, folk-rock, vintage rock and roll, and even a flutter of jangle-pop peeping from the background. Joined by Marcelo Effori (drums) and Oleg Pisarenko (keyboard and piano), Franco’s guitar and bass dance as each instrument moves along in its magical melodic wave of sound. Sprinkling his production glitter across the track, Darryle McFadyen adds sophistication to the song while retaining raw sincerity in the tune.
Inspired by life events and experiences, Kevin Franco looks to connect with audiences using personal narratives – ‘Believe In Yourself’ is no different. Not long after hearing about his partner’s cancer diagnosis, Franco penned ‘Believe In Yourself’ as a place of solace, understanding, hope, and letting her know she isn’t alone. Franco explains:
“I didn’t want the message of the song to be too specific, or lost in the metaphor, so it’s straightforward in words and message on purpose – the song is for her, but it can be for anyone listening.”
Sincere, heart-warming, and sentimental, without being too fidgety or overwhelming, The Muster Point Project gives you a big, comfortable hug with ‘Believe In Yourself’.
In addition to the single, The Muster Point Project released an official music video for ‘Believe In Yourself’. The video can be viewed below and/or on The Muster Point Project’s YouTube channel.
