Michellar – Never Say Sorry (2025)

Celebrating the complexities of love in life, from its painful turbulence to euphoric joy, singer-songwriter Michellar uses personal narratives to connect with audiences to explore that intricate part of existence. From her debut single, ‘You Are In My Mind’, to the Spanish language track, ‘Aunque Sea Por Una Noche’ and the well-received ‘September’, the US-based musician continuously shares charming melodies with poetic lyricism. The latest addition to her discography is the single, ‘Never Say Sorry’.

Following her track ‘September’, Michellar celebrates her one-year anniversary of releasing music with ‘Never Say Sorry’. Produced with her long-time collaborator Tobias White, ‘Never Say Sorry’ is a smooth combination of guitar, drums and an interspersed piano peeping from the background. Driven by an acoustic guitar, the song offers a vintage folk-inspired sound entwined in a soft, soothing sonic tapestry. Yet, while the relaxing attitude burns bright, raw honesty and vulnerability linger in ‘Never Say Sorry’. It’s like walking along a sonic path with kaleidoscopic lights fluttering about and Michellar holding your hand, navigating the cold but simultaneously warm environment.

A delicate unpicking of love and relationships, Michellar continues to capture the butterfly in the tummy feelings of new love with the contentment of a long-lasting relationship; however, as much as the song tingles with the breath of new love, a nostalgic turn keeps you on the path of enduring and true love. Michellar explains:

“There were times when I have left a relationship and felt that I missed the love that was true and sincere. It’s hard to find the right person, and in so looking, I always wanted to venture outside a current one. But truth be told, if the love is meant to be, it comes back and there is never no need to say sorry when that happens. Those emotions encircle this story to the very core.”

Sincere, serene and a song to savour with its soul-soothing sensation, Michellar continues to grow as a firm favourite here at The Other Side Reviews. A highly recommended artist that will not disappoint – at least she hasn’t yet, and I doubt she will.
