All The Young – Another Way (2026)
Continuing their flow of celebratory, cathartic, confident, and kaleidoscopic music, UK group All The Young bring another breath of inspiration and solace to listeners with ‘Another Way’. Ending 2025 with ‘Something More’, Ryan Dooley (vocals), Arron Darlington (bass and guitar), Tom Crompton (lead guitar) and Mike Davies (drums and percussion) tapped into feelings of positivity, empowerment and hope, tackling the negativity in the world with a toe-tapping chorus; today, we take a gander at their most recent release, ‘Another Way’.
As with ‘Something More’, ‘Another Way’ lays life bare, unpicking the complexities of its challenges, intricacies and grittiness, to find the silver lining hidden in the darker hues. A song of comfort rising from the ashes of despair, Crompton explains:
“’Another Way’ is a song about addiction and the moment you realise you need to do things differently. I could see a way out, but I was struggling to walk through it. I felt frustrated, isolated, and stuck in a cycle I didn’t know how to break. It’s about despair, but also about that first spark of wanting to change your life.”
Lyrically and thematically, All The Young creep into the more difficult side of things, but also bring a bright light as you identify the need and chance for change; melodically, it’s as empowering and heartfelt within its hard-hitting push. Collaborating once again with producer Gareth Nuttall, ‘Another Way’ brings life to 90s/early 2000s alternative rock.
Pounding drums crash beneath and behind, while the bold bass beats alongside with ferocity. A soaring guitar weaves about the melody, while Dooley’s vocals hit you between the eyes with a smash, but also a soothing lull. It’s as if you are being pushed into a sonic whirlpool surrounded by various colours in a head-spinning attitude, but the press of guitars, drums and vocals is comforting within the angsty flush.
Aggressive and bold, this is a hard-hitting rock song with a memorable snap; however, simultaneously, there is a cheeky, winking charm to elegantly win your heart and drag you along the creative journey.
