Dani LaCour – Praying In A Bathroom Stall (2026)
Discovering her gift for singing at the age of 12, Louisiana-born Dani LaCour took the stage – metaphorically, at least – singing karaoke with her father, which led to guitar lessons and, shortly after, writing original material. In 2015, LeCour officially began her solo career with non-stop performances and sharing singles online. Since then, she has performed with artists like Bag of Donuts, Billie Jo Jones and LVVRS, reached the last round of Hollywood of American Idol, and was recently nominated for the Josie Music Awards in three different categories – all while remaining humble, but with a spark of fiery passion. Known for her raw honesty, vivid storytelling, and intimate narratives – plus powerhouse vocals – LaCour is described as having “Country soul. Southern rock fire…”
Following 2025 singles ‘Girl’ and ‘Hard Fought Hallelujah’, LaCour steps into 2026 with her new single, ‘Praying In A Bathroom Stall’. Recorded and produced with Burne Sharp at Natchez Music Studio, the track immediately dragged me back to Sheryl Crow circa 1994. With the same country style, rock attitude and sparkling flair, LaCour could be the younger sister of Crow but with her own shimmering, swaggering spark.
A weave of bold drums, soaring guitars, and a gritty bassline, ‘Praying In A Bathroom Stall’ is a rock-infused song; however, it is the underlying twang in the melody, and LaCour’s vocals, that bring the Southern country fire to the track. Powerful and confident, you feel both light-hearted and carefree, singing along without even knowing the words. It’s a wonderful buzz that enhances any dark mood. Yet, the track is not merely a fun tune; its inspiration and profound lyricism add weightiness. LaCour explains:
“This song is for anyone who’s doing their best and feels like nothing’s working yet. It’s about faith when you’re tired, hope when you’re worn down, and believing that one day all the hard work will make sense.”
Vibrant, vivacious, and twinkling with flaming ambition and empowerment, Dani LaCour dances beside us as we take a step toward the bright light of hope and success.
