Dez Rocket – All Ways Forever (2026)
Take a quick gander at singer-songwriter Dez Rocket’s discography, and you’ll find – at least on all the streaming platforms – his studio records date back five years to 2021. Yet, Rocket has far more to his name, having embraced his solo project back in 2014. Discovering his passion for music as a child, his fiery zeal has been burning in his chest for over thirty years; sometimes in full blaze and other times in a simmering repose. Today, we pick up his recordings and delve into his most recent single, ‘All Ways Forever’.
Following his well-received 2025 single, ‘Akashic Walker’, US-based Dez Rocket steps into 2026 with ‘All Ways Forever’. Self-recorded and produced, ‘All Ways Forever’ shifts from the ambient indie-pop-flavoured ‘Akashic Walker’ to something more upbeat, toe-tapping and rock-tinged. If you fancy Tame Impala and The 1975, the chances are you’d take a liking to ‘All Ways Forever’; however, just as there is a whisper of reminiscence to these acts, Dez Rocket’s obscure vocals laid in the wistful melody sparks something more eclectic.
A combination of Chuck Williams’ bold bass, Paris Parent’s pounding drums, and Rocket’s soaring guitars and shimmering synths, ‘All Ways Forever’ washes over you with a harmonic indie-rock quality. Yet, as much as the single can have you twirling about with a grin on your face and your hair flowing free, the track has a poignant weightiness brimming in the moving lyricism – all executed in a rich, honey-soaked voice.
“‘All Was Forever’…once again shows Rocket’s vulnerability, but this time… with a fun and adventurous spirit. Though at times he sounds as if he’s speaking in the third person, his desire to ‘burn down the walls’ around his heart seems to describe someone who is attempting to break free from his old paradigm of pain and trauma and enter a new chapter of rebirth and expansion…”
Sincere, introspective and heart-warming, ‘All Ways Forever’ is an inspiring introduction to 2026 for Dez Rocket. With mentions of forming a new band and plans to begin playing live shows this year, I am eager to hear more from this talented musician.
