Drew Six – Bullseye (2026)

Should you take a shine to Eric Church, Kip Moore or Chris Stapleton – and, I have to admit, I do love Stapleton’s ‘Tennessee Whiskey’ – the chances are likely you’ll quite fancy Drew Six. Known for his confident, powerful, enthusiastic live performances and emotionally charged songs, Six’s music grabs you by the gut, twirls you about a bit, then leaves you slightly breathless… if you like it, that’s something only you can decide. Join us as we jump headfirst into this US-based country-rock artist’s new single, ‘Bullseye’.

A self-produced track, ‘Bullseye’ is a prime example of Americana standing tall, but with a heavy leaning toward classic rock. A shot to the heart, his combination of crashing drums and bass simultaneously keeps the song anchored and gives it a bit of a pulsating push. The soaring guitars dance across the melody, then slice in with vintage rock flair, riffs and a smashing solo. While the instrumentation hits you with a heavy rock hammer, it is the winding of Six’s gruff baritone that tightens things and keeps it all in place. Of course, we can’t forget the soulful backing female vocals adding that slip of something-something to the track.

Melodically, ‘Bullseye’ is anthemic; the ideal song to jump along to, dance along to, and enjoy both live and while prancing about your bedroom. Lyrically, it is filled with as much zeal and empowering forcefulness. Drew Six explains, “’Bullseye’ is a song about focus and pressure – that moment when everything comes down to one shot, and you have to trust your instincts…”

I don’t have much to complain about when it comes to ‘Bullseye’, but I do wish there were a video to accompany the track. Drew Six’s YouTube features performances at Madison Square Garden alongside official videos for singles like ‘Just Spent Time’, but no ‘Bullseye’. Perhaps a nudge in his direction could remedy this? Otherwise, I am perfectly content to have the track on repeat.
