Liqueedo – English Rose (2026)
Once a passion for music sparks a small flame in your heart, it is difficult to ignore or extinguish, as is the case with Arturo Molinara. The frontman and founding member of Liqueedo, Molinara began performing with his “…first real band” Oceans, first in local venues and soon touring Italy, but various life changes caused a stop in his musical endeavours; the spark of music, however, could not be subdued. During the Covid years, he stoked the embers, reopened the drawer of old samples, and started forging a new musical journey with long-time friends, Andrea Bruno (bass), Gianmario Galano (lead guitar) and Federico Cozza (drums). Following their 2025 single, ‘1999’, the Italian foursome release their new single, ‘English Rose’.
Recorded, mixed and produced by Maurizio Sarnicola at Goldmine Records, with mastering by Giovanni Versari at La Maesta Studi, ‘English Rose’ is a solid Britpop tune laced with lingering whispers of British acts like Oasis and Dodgy. The single combines a bold bass undertone with pulsating drums, a searing lead guitar entwined with a charming rhythmic guitar; all acting as one with harmonic unity, but still bringing individuality into the melody. Add Molinara’s gritty vocals, and you have a powerful slide back to the 1990s Britpop scene.
Melodically, ‘English Rose’ is a nostalgic dip into the memories of yesteryear, but it is the lyricism – executed in a honey-soaked but simultaneously rough voice – that adds sentiment and sincerity to the song. Liqueedo explains:
“The song speaks about those people who don’t realise how much they are truly worth, how much light they bring into the lives of others. It is a small musical embrace, dedicated to those who need to be reminded of their own magic… to her, unique and different from all the others, in a world full of ostentation and selfishness…”
In addition to the single, Liqueedo released an official music video for ‘English Rose’. You can view the video below and/or on their YouTube channel.
