LunaRover – Little Things (2026)

With a passionate love of music burning in each of their breasts – not literally, of course – musicians Kevin Rieth (vocals, bass, guitar, synth, and samples) and Ben Pelletier (vocals, synths and samples) stoked a fiery sonic flame with their collaborative project, LunaRover. Hailing from Silver Springs, Maryland, the US-based pair capture the heart of life, love and existential complexities in their melodies. The latest addition to their discography, ‘Little Things’, delves into the realm of romance, love and being appreciative of how those romantic flowers blossom.

“The song is about learning to love all of the little things about a romantic partner as the relationship grows… the beauty of cherishing the small details in a relationship.” – LunaRover on ‘Little Things’

Following the well-received 2025 single, ‘Fountains’, ‘Little Things’ retains the ethereal soundscape of previous tunes, but with a somewhat heavier tone. Not necessarily darker, but like the mystic fog being more palpable and the melody sinking in a little bit deeper than lighter alt-pop vibes. Influenced by the textures of Pink Floyd, Beck and ELO, it’s easy to imagine a weightier psychedelic mist brushing past your face and engulfing you in its melodic perfume.

Self-recorded and produced at LunaRover’s basement studios, with mixing by Adrian Olsen and mastering by Dave McNair, ‘Little Things’ is more of a sonic experience than just listening to something bursting through your speakers. Walking into a sonic forest, the enigmatic fog flutters in from the first moment with a set of ethereal synths. While your head is in the psychedelic clouds, Rieth’s bass acts like an anchoring force, and a silky guitar slips through the melody.

Elegantly expressing the dizzying wistfulness of being in love and adoring every moment of the relationship, ‘Little Things’ pulls at your heartstrings; the choir sound, layered in, enhances a haunting joyfulness, and the “NASA sample…run through a glitch generator” dabs an obscurity that resembles the off-kilter vulnerability in all romances.

At first glance, ‘Little Things’ is a hazy rush of synth-pop, and, honestly, it remains just that. Yet, instead of a single that just washes over and falls to the floor, LunaRover push your emotions button, unpicking the raw core of being in love.
