Man From The Woods is returning to simplicity with his 2-track EP Man From The Woods II. The tracks were created using minimal recording equipment, field recordings and layered vocals captured in his North Carolina cabin. Between the two tracks of the EP, he invites you to engage with nature and fall into the peace that the natural world has to offer.
Through the sonic spaces that he creates, he showcases his ability to craft atmospheric compositions which have generated a cult following since one of his singles was on the soundtrack of Skins series 2. The first track of the EP is ‘Submerge’, which is a great introduction to the sonic world of this artist. There is an ambient tone that opens the track like the awakening of the world in a secluded place. It is a far-reaching sound that transports you to a cabin with the sun rising over the trees while you hold a warm cup of coffee. The acoustic tones of the guitar add to this rustic feeling with a steady strum that eases something in your shoulders.
The vocals complement the melody perfectly as they float through the soundscape like a gentle mist.
