Stevie Lee Woods – Don’t Let Heartache Turn To Heartbreak (2026)
Inspired and influenced by the music he grew up with, listening to his father playing guitar to singing in church, Stevie Lee Woods has been surrounded by music for most of his life. A veteran artist, the US-based Woods is no new name in the industry, performing with notable bands, being featured on television and films, and earning a large, loyal following with his genre-diverse melodies. Woods is a new name to us, so we’re a bit late to the party, but, better late than never with this music superstar. Join us as we dive into his single, ‘Don’t Let Heartache Turn To Heartbreak’.
The first release leading up to Woods’ upcoming album – an album described “… quite diverse…”, and featuring tracks that “…take on their own life from contemporary country to country gospel to country rock.” – ‘Don’t Let Heartache Turn To Heartbreak’ taunts us with a nod of classic rock.
Produced by Stevie Lee Woods and Greg Tibbs, with engineering by Chris Omartian and Stuart Epps, ‘Don’t Let Heartache Turn To Heartbreak’ offers sophisticated elegance in its production and arrangement, showcasing the outstanding skills of the renowned crew; however, despite the ease, smoothness and maturity of the overall production, there is a raw grittiness in the performance dragging listeners from their chairs, through the speakers, and into the recording studio.
Joined by his Nashville Roadhouse Live Band, as well as Devin Callahan and Rich Watson, Stevie Lee Woods’ ‘Don’t Let Heartache Turn To Heartbreak’ is a calming wave of soaring guitars, a steady bassline, anchoring drums, and an acoustic piano teetering through the tune. Laid-back and gentle, the instrumentation is charming; yet Woods’ rich vocals and the poignant lyricism make the track that teensy bit more memorable. Penned with Brian Callahan, Woods explains:
“This story is about a couple who have come to a rocky road in their relationship… this release… offers a heartfelt narrative that resonates with listeners, delving into the complexities of relationships and the journey toward reconciliation…”
