The Domi – See How Much You Have Done (2025)
Crafting music that not only engages on a melodic level, but comforts and connects with audiences who are “…navigating their own path”, The Domi is an old friend with new sounds and a tender hug. Known for his sincerity and emotional songs, built on light and organic textures, he has turned heads far beyond his French borders and touched hearts internationally. Today, we take a look and listen to his final song in 2025, ‘See How Much You Have Done’.
Following the tracks ‘Don’t Give Up So Soon’ and ‘Shining Far Away’, ‘See How Much You Have Done’ is a song of reflection – an ideal New Year song, taking stock of the challenges, complexities, and growth over the past year. The Domi explains:
“’See How Much You Have Done’ is a warm and hopeful indie pop-rock song about healing, resilience, and the quiet strength we rediscover after difficult moments… It’s a song for anyone who feels lost, tired, or uncertain; a reminder to breathe, look back, and recognise how far they’ve already come. The line, “you’re back on track”, leads directly into the chorus, “be proud”, symbolising that turning point when doubt turns into confidence again.”
Self-recorded, composed and produced, ‘See How Much You Have Done’ retains the indie-pop sound heard in ‘Don’t Give Up So Soon’, yet, somehow, brings a new flair with rock-flecked undertones. A quick flit of the Beatles seems to weave through the track, and smatterings of The Zombies dance along, carrying us along to the 60s Britpop invasion. The thing is, while there is this old-school groove sparking a toe-tapping, head-bopping, body-swaying sensation, The Domi clips it with weightier rock guitars and drums.
In his signature warmth and comforting songs, The Domi offers a smooth, laidback few minutes of music with ‘See How Much You Have Done’. Interestingly, while the track has its distinctive haze of kaleidoscopic calm, a powerful rush of encouragement and empowerment belies the track. I’m already a fan of The Domi’s music, and if this is how he ends 2025, I am keen to see what 2026 holds.
