Kelsie Kimberlin – Dream of Peace (2025)
Kelsie Kimberlin is more than merely an artist; she is an activist, an ambassador, a glowing voice in the dark struggle between Ukraine and Russia. With her powerful songs and even more powerful videos, Ukrainian-American Kimberlin delves into the tragic, gritty, war-torn areas of life that no one can fathom unless you’ve been there. Join us as we delve into one of her most recent inspirational singles, ‘Dream of Peace’.
Following her singles ‘Windfall’ and ‘Whispers’, ‘Dream of Peace’ is an uplifting single touching on the, well, dream of peace after the ravages of war. Lyrically, the track has a profound message; however, it is as empowering with elegant charm as it is a “sit back and think about this” attitude. Kimberlin explains:
“I wanted to do something special to focus attention on the aspirations of Ukrainians for peace. The International Day of Peace and the International Concert for Peace provided me the opportunity to showcase my incredible ‘Dream of Peace’ song… I want to thank everyone who made this possible.”
Opening with a heart-warming piano, accompanied by Kimberlin’s angelic vocals, you feel yourself pulled into a bubble of calm and gentleness. The pace picks up, but not in the abrupt, brashness of a free-fall into sonic whirlwinds; instead, a fall into a mellifluous bubble with tender embraces caressing you from each angle – the real expression of utter peace.
Joined by a choir – the production by director Larry Friedman – Kimberlin’s silvery vocal seems united in a peaceful movement for everyone: the dream of peace. Produced and arranged by Pedro Vangoechea, with mixing and mastering by Liam Nolan and Stuart Hawkes, the combination of orchestral instrumentation swells, offering a blast of harmony, sincerity, and soul-stirring positivity.
In addition to the single, Kimberlin released an official music video for ‘Dream of Peace’. You can view the video below and/or on her YouTube channel.
