BLXDES – Touch and Tease (Get Down) (2025)
‘Touch and Tease’ is the sizzling debut single from BLXDES, who makes feel-good R&B in the 90’s style of artists like Mariah Carey, Aaliyah and SWV. The track is about having the untameable desire to be with someone who fulfils all your needs. It is completely honest and holds nothing back. It celebrates understanding what it is that you want and enjoy.
BLXDES is an independent artist from Lancashire, who, within the past year, booked a studio session after sitting on her music for 10 years. She labels herself as a ‘smalltown girl with big dreams’. Her many influences include Nicki Minaj, Rihanna and Kendrick Lamar.
The track is irresistible from start to finish. The production is excellent and overseen by Darrius Stewart at Studio 88 MCR. It contains a drum-heavy hip-hop beat over an unrelenting bassline and lush keys. The sultry lyrics leave you hot under the collar: ‘Oooh I wanna get down wit you / There’s nothing that I won’t do / I want you to touch me baby /And I wanna touch you too.” BLXDES’s powerful vocal delivery makes you cling to her every note. The lyrics get even more sexy with, “I want you to teach me baby / How you feel about chemistry / And it’s just biology / When you’re lovin inside of me“. It’s obvious that BLXDES is a confident and sassy songwriter.
‘Touch and Tease’ really began to take shape after BLXDES spontaneously performed it on a street in Manchester. The clip of her went viral on social media. Speaking about her debut track, she explains, ”’Touch and Tease” is my first single, and while it’s a little spicy, it’s really about owning desire and feeling sexy, powerful, and confident for yourself, without shame'” BLXDES describes her music as ‘very Y2K’.
There is much more music to come from BLXDES with her next single, due to be a track called ‘Silhouette’. She has a classic 90’s R&B U.S. sound and is flying the flag for that music we love and miss. Keep your eyes fixed on BLXDES!!
