Adam Wedd – SHAPED BY THE STARS (2025)

Known for his remarkable genre-bending music, confident performances, moving melodies, and magical aura, singer-songwriter and producer Adam Wedd captivates audiences live and… well, not live. After numerous gigs, features on various publications, plays on over 500 radio stations, additions to playlists, and appearances on multiple TV shows, it’s fair to say Wedd is no newbie to the music industry. We came across the UK-based artist last year with his single ‘pink dinosaurs’; today, we take a listen to his latest release, ‘SHAPED BY THE STARS’.

Following his well-received singles ‘MADMAN’ and ‘shipwrecks’, ‘SHAPED BY THE STARS’ is a strong pop-rock production that will appeal to those who lean toward Ed Sheeran and those with a preference for The Fray. Blending a heavy, bold drumbeat (courtesy of Alex Marchisone) and Wedd’s soaring guitars, the track shines like a kaleidoscopic slice of sound in a dark sonic river. Glistening, shimmering, and a grin-inducing earworm of a song, ‘SHAPED BY THE STARS’ was shaped by the stars.

Alright, so the song isn’t a fantastical celestial celebration of sound; in fact, it has a cross-continental journey to its creation. Penned in Stockholm, Sweden, with Hannes Andersson and Panos Agamemnos (who helped with initial production), then taken to Wedd’s studio for production with Paul Tipier, who gave it a bloody good mix”, ‘SHAPED BY THE STARS’ is a labour of love with a bit of each contributor leaving his mark on the melody. Interestingly, that’s part of the message and theme – ‘SHAPED BY THE STARS’ is celebrating our individuality. Wedd explains:

“This is a song about loving the little things that make each of us us. It’s about finding hope in the smallest places and also believing the biggest things are also possible… A few people have said this song can hit you in so many different ways… I love that about art.”
