Alla Igityan – Peacekeeper (2026)
A singer-songwriter who finds the lines between moving melodies, poignant lyricism and intimate connections with cathartic tales, Alla Igityan can hold your hand, give you a friendly smile and walk with you as you tread the sonic world her music offers. Ending 2025 with her well-received EP, Things You Think About, the Berlin-based musician laid bare her folk-filled tunes celebrating life and all its experiences. Today, she steps into the new year with her latest single, ‘Peacekeeper’.
Produced by Charles Austin, with mixing and mastering by Sergey Gasparyan, ‘Peacekeeper’ retains Igityan’s obscure folk music style. Simplistic and heartfelt, the melody is driven by Igityan’s acoustic guitar, showcasing her charming finger-picking technique; however, a lead guitar swoops along, while percussion breathes in the background. A flutter of violin sandwiched between the guitars inserts a slight haunting to the track, yet the mellifluous flow and rhythm keep on a line of laid-back tranquillity.
A beautiful tune that in itself can be played on repeat as an instrumental, ‘Peacekeeper’ has the melodic charm so aptly tied to the title – an imagining of the wistful wave of peace. The thing is, while ‘Peacekeeper’ can ease any tension or anxiety you might be feeling, the profound lyricism and Alla Igityan’s off-kilter vocals add weight to the track. A song about peacekeeping, but from the complex perspective of actually keeping the peace and being that person, Igityan explains:
“’Peacekeeper’ is a… song for the people-pleasers – the listeners who scan for danger, absorb tension, and hold everything together quietly… ‘Peacekeeper’ is a tender folk confession about the invisible work of protecting others while quietly trying to survive yourself.”
In addition to the single, Igityan released an official lyric video for ‘Peacekeeper’. You view the video below and/or on her YouTube channel.
