Bailey Perrie – Secret Millionaires (2025)
Exploring the line between soothing sensation and almighty punch between the eyes insanity, Australian pop-rock artist Bailey Perrie not only finds the divide but blurs it. Reaching our ears earlier this year with her single ‘No Main Character’, Perrie’s bold sound sent a rush of sugary-sweet pop mixed with cheeky rock grit down our spines. Today, she entertains us (and everyone who hits that play button) with her new single, ‘Secret Millionaires’.
Following the well-received singles ‘For The Plot’ and ‘The Lotto’, Perrie’s ‘Secret Millionaires’ leaps out of our speakers with a high-voltage, energetic, rambunctious twist of pop-rock. Once again joined by producer Simon Giles, the track punches with pounding drums, a soaring guitar, bold bass, and slips of keyboards twinkling across the sonic tapestry. The single is a bombastic rush of music running through your head at a million miles per hour, flooded with Perrie’s confidence and sparkling charisma. Yet, as much as it is a little mad flying at that speed, an odd maturity lingers in the tune, bringing a sort of organised or calculated tempestuousness to the track.
Melodically, ‘Secret Millionaires’ is the shot of vodka coursing through your veins as you jump about and sing loudly within the crushing mass of wild dancing at a club or festival. You can’t imagine the hangover lurking a few hours from now, but who gives a damn? Bailey Perrie’s music is totally worth it. Interestingly, the narrative doesn’t extend to a night of debauchery, but rather captures that heated whirlwind of a tight-knit crew about to pull off the perfect heist. Think a hyped-up Italian Job or Ocean’s Eleven – it’s perfectly planned, but no guarantee of this high-stakes plot working.
Crazy, fun, and a song to liven up any dull day, Bailey Perrie’s pop-rock ‘Secret Millionaires’ further solidifies her spot as one of the most intriguing pop-rock musicians in 2025. I cannot wait for more from this talented artist.
