Liqueedo – Lebowsky Song (2026)
What began as a zealous pursuit of music, singer-songwriter Arturo Molinara embraced his love of English music at an early age. With his band, Oceans, he started building a fanbase – first in his hometown and then across Italy. Life intervened, accidents happened, and things came to a standstill… but not in Molinara’s heart. During the Covid-19 pandemic, Molinara joined with Andrea Bruno, Gianmario Galano and Federico Cozza to form Liqueedo. The rest, as they say, is history…
Following their well-received single, ‘English Rose’, ‘Lebowsky Song’ builds on ‘English Rose’s message of finding your inner worth and “be reminded of their own magic… in a world of ostentation and selfishness”; well, sort of. Taking a look at the world around us, ‘Lebowsky Song’ tells us to take a step back, really consider things, but while looking at our magic, remember that one shouldn’t take the world so seriously or focus on the seemingly important yet insignificant in the long run. Molinara explains:
”I had more direct and ‘easy’ tracks, but this time I wanted a crazier, more counter-current song. We are arguably living through the ugliest and most numb era of modern times; a qualitative low point even in the world of music and art in general. I wanted to write a track that clearly says: let’s stop everything. Sometimes you just need to take a break, have a gin and tonic, and remember to take life lightly.”
Produced by Maurizio Sarnicola and Molinara, ‘Lebowsky Song’ is inspired by The Big Lebowski’s character “The Dude” as a liberating rush of rock and roll with punk inclinations. Federico Cozza’s crashing drums meld with Andrea Bruno’s heavy bass, Gianmario Galano’s guitar sweeps, swoops, swerves, slices and cuts in with powerful classic rock ferocity. While the instrumentation hits you between the eyes with a bang, Molinara’s vocals are what grab hold of you, pull you along a sonic tunnel, and release you into a flowing rush of freeing sound.
