NBP Human – We’ve Got The Moment (2025)
While originally formed back in the 1990s, NBP Human is a project that went dormant and is now revived with grunge gusto. For years – and this is when NBP Human was on the back burner – guitarist and vocalist Balázs Janky explored the realm of pop music in Hungary as a songwriter, singer in bands, and as a band manager. In 2020 that he and his fellow artist Dora Csatorday embarked on an exciting art project called ONE – Confluence of Arts – combining fine art, poems, videoclips and music. Skip ahead a couple of years to 2024, and Janky was inspired by his son to return to music that “speaks, questions and confronts”; hence, NBP Human re-emerged.
Following his singles ‘Morbid Craziness’ and ‘The Fundaments’, Janky released ‘We’ve Got The Moment’ – a single that somehow combines a funkier groove of vintage rock with lilts of grunge and an obscure eclecticism that is not quite definable. Recorded and produced by Janky with mixing and mastering by Zsolt Gyulai, ‘We’ve Got The Moment’ blends hard-hitting drums with a dynamic guitar and some percussion shimmering along with keys in the background.
NBP Human’s music is a drag back to the rock world of yesteryear with Janky’s guitar in one hand and a passionate song burning in his chest. Yet, as much as there is a nostalgic whisper, ‘We’ve Got The Moment’ is timeless, exploring the intricate mystery that is life. Janky explains:
“The song tells about the strange, big unknown: the time. In the beginning, when we are kids, we feel that every day is a long, long, endless journey. Then somehow it turns 180 degrees and we feel like every day is too short for doing everything we want, and we don’t have time enough at all…. When we look back, we can remember only the important and big moments of life. All in all, we should live and appreciate much deeper our real happy moments of life.”
In addition to the single, NBP Human released an official music video for ‘We’ve Got The Moment’. You can view the video below and/or on NBP Human’s YouTube channel.
