Neodym – To The Ones (2025)

In only two years, singer-songwriter Neodym has quickly earned a global fanbase with her distinctive, pioneering presence and music. Originally hailing from Poland, but now residing in Germany, her confidence blazes across the electronic music scene not only with her moving melodies, but also enigmatic performances, hypnotising audiences at festivals across the globe. From the Kansai Music Conference in Japan to the Emergenza festival in Germany, Neodym has “left audiences in awe of her talent and passion for electronic music…”

I’ll admit, I’m not the greatest fan of electronic music – although I do appreciate the skills of Deafmau5 and will turn up any Tommee Profitt song, particularly the collaborations with Fleurie. Yet, while my preferences often lean toward acts like Chicago and Josh Groban, to name a couple, I found myself highly intrigued by Neodym – and this was only after listening to a few beats of ‘Haunting Me’ and ‘Let My Love In’. Today, we take a headfirst dive into her most recent single, ‘To The Ones’.

Following the well-received single ‘Insta’, Neodym once again joins forces with Sven Kuhlman on ‘To The Ones’. Retaining the pulsating bounce heard in their collaborative track, ‘Let My Love In’, ‘To The Ones’ is a single that people can jump along to while losing themselves in the house-driven melody; but, there is an obscurity and intricate eclecticism that makes ‘To The Ones’ stand in similarity and contrast. Oscillating between a beat that hits you between the eyes and an electronic twinkle of silkiness, the single brings together soothing charm and thrilling brashness with sophisticated elegance.

One aspect I enjoy in electronic music, particularly electronic pop, is how the melody seeps into your skin, grabs at your heart, and can leave you twirling about with reckless abandon – all in the best way possible. Shivering synths sprinkle across the pounding beats made for the dancefloor, but it is Neodym’s vocals that really up the ante in ‘To The Ones’. Rich, warm and intimate, she takes your hand and leads you across the room with a big smile. Yet, as much as there is warmth, the vulnerability lingering in her voice is what resonates.
