Stephen Webber – Here We Go (2026)
Far more than a singer-songwriter with strong, poetic lyricism and a ukulele flair, Stephen Webber has one hell of a background, making him one hell of a musician – at least, that’s what I gather from his websites. A Grammy-nominated producer, Emmy-winning composer, orchestral collaborator, professor and dean at Berklee College of Music, author of popular online courses and a master of strings and turntables; however, his love for simplistic music always simmered beneath.
The latest single from his critically acclaimed Ukelately project, ‘Here We Go’, is a collaboration of virtuoso musicians blending Americana musicianship with infectious acoustic vibes. Featuring Grammy-nominated fiddler Casey Driessen, Grammy-winning dobro guitar player Andy Hall, drummer Caleb Gilbreth, and vocalist Zahara (Annette Philip), ‘Here We Go’ is a soulful celebration of life, optimism and human connection.

An immediate toe-tapping, hip-swaying, “get out of your chair and start dancing” single, ‘Here We Go’ is the soundtrack for those moments when the protagonist steps out into the bright sunshine, blinks at the shining light, and sets off down the street with a hop, skip and whistle. Combining steady drums, a sleek ukulele, soaring dobro, and shining fiddle, the single has a solid Americana groove with a light-hearted attitude. The shimmering tambourine at the end adds a particular, organic flair.
The melody itself is intriguing and engaging, but it is the interplay of Zahara and Webber’s vocals that brings a sense of comfort and warmth to the track. It’s fun, sing-along ready, and rather amusing. So, here we go!
