2far2jump – Think It Over (2026)

The younger brother of You Me At Six and best friend of As December Falls, UK-based trio 2far2jump is a band that won’t let you ignore them. Following a period of relative absence, Luke Harland-Cole (vocals and rhythm guitar), Rupert Barker (lead guitar), and Aaron Mann (drums) drag scraps of different decades together and turn the noise into an infectious alternative rock sound – nostalgic grit bound and ironed out. This is my introduction to 2far2jump, but we are a bit late to the party, with the lads already supported by Kerrang! Radio, BBC Introducing, and many more acclaimed curators. The latest addition to their discography is the single ‘Think It Over’.

Produced by Federico Telesca, ‘Think It Over’ is a leap back to the 2000s alternative rock scene. Crashing drums meet bold guitars in a burst of music that makes you jump up, grab the air guitar, strut across the room and yell into your hairbrush. On one hand, it’s light, bouncy and bursting with life; the other side holds the grit and roughness of an alt-rock song hitting you straight in the feels. Yet, just as the song has that rock-tinged depth, its rollercoaster soundscape keeps you intrigued and engaged throughout the whole three minutes (give or take).

Powerful and assertive, 2far2jump’s ‘Think It Over’ is confident, commanding, and kicks with an infectious enthusiasm. However, within the rambunctious melody, a lingering sense of poignancy and depth adds weight to an already full-bodied song. Frontman Harland-Cole explains:

“’Think It Over’ is about overthinking, and I was doing exactly that when I started writing it on the bus home one day… Travelling gives you a lot of time to sit with your thoughts. You look at your phone, stare out of the window or mull something over, and before you know it, hours have passed. I hope the song resonates with people who know that feeling.”

Already a fan of acts like You Me At Six, The Maine and All Time Low, 2far2jump was right up my alley. ‘Think It Over’ is a song of overthinking, but there’s no thought required, as I confidently say 2far2jump is a perfect end to a busy Friday. Highly recommended!!
