Christina Winterfell – Life At The Top (2023)

From old-school folk to contemporary pop-rock, Swedish artist Christina Winterfell reaches across the musical spectrum intoxicating listeners along the way. As a musician, Winterfell has performed across Europe with bands and as a solo artist; however, this is not the only way she expresses her creativity. An established radio presenter, children’s book author and illustrator, and abstract artist, Winterfell not only paints with her physical palette but a sonic one as well. Come with us as we delve into her debut single ‘Life At The Top’.

After years away from the public arena, Christina Winterfell returns to the music scene with her single ‘Life At The Top’. A melding of high-powered pop, hard-hitting pop-rock and dramatic indie-rock, the song is undoubtedly bold. Yet, while there is a strong boldness in the track, it is also soothing and mellifluous. Channelling her inner P!nk, Winterfell has a bad-ass attitude singing about empowerment, reaching your dreams and, well, living at the top. The thing is, while there is a contemporary P!nk meets Miley Cyrus vibe to the track, she inserts a nostalgic flair tinging the tune with 70s/80s rock.

Recorded at Nox Studios with producer Niklas Bergström, ‘Life At The Top’ is a swirling combination of dynamic guitars and drums. Interestingly, while this is a storm of pop-rock sounds, the track ends with a short burst of strings adding that little something special to the melody.

In an interview with Lost At The Manor, Winterfell shared that she chose ‘Life At The Top’ as her comeback single because “that’s how I feel now”. Jovial and fun, the happy tune encapsulates the essence of following your heart. In the same interview with Lost At The Manor, she explained that “you just have to follow your heart and do your thing…it’s never too late to make dreams happen…”
