Robyn Alexandra – Until Tomorrow (I’ve Got The Blues) (2026)

Liverpool singer Robyn Alexandra is back with ‘Until Tomorrow (I’ve Got The Blues)’, which is the follow-up to ‘Toxic Love’ from last year. This time it’s a vintage vibe, similar to RAYE’s recent smash ‘Where Is My Husband!’ It is a dynamic and orchestral track which works to Robyn’s pop sensibilities.

This highly polished retro track opens with lovely strings and piano. It has a 60’s feel whilst still managing to sound fresh and contemporary. This owes itself to the excellent production and Robyn’s effortless, powerhouse vocals. The subject matter of ‘Until Tomorrow’ is described by Robyn as: “I wanted to create an upbeat, accessible take on mental health that reassures listeners they’re not alone, and that we can still dance through the dark times together“.

The lyrics to this mental health-inspired pop ballad focus on having that one person who’s there for you through all your struggles. This doesn’t necessarily have to be a romantic person, but can be a family member or friend. “I’ve got the blues / I know they visit you too / Baby, will you hold me / I’ll hold you right back'” exclaims the chorus, with its great tempo and harmonies, which are almost Motown-esque. Robyn likens herself to an old soul, and a legendary vocalist helped influence ‘Until Tomorrow’ as she shares: “It was kind of inspired by Etta James, that era of music. We modernised it a little bit, made it a bit more upbeat.”

Robyn Alexandra has a clear idea of the image and sound she wants to convey for her career. This is evident by the painstaking promotion she has given to her two singles on social media. Her talents and likability have drawn attention from BBC Merseyside and In Demand Radio. With a knack for writing catchy pop songs with a deeper meaning, her debut ‘Toxic Love’ was about being aware of a type of love that isn’t right for you, yet going back to it anyway. And with this latest track about mental health struggles, it demonstrates she is no flash in the pan. Lyrics like: “My baby loves me / Through all my ugly / And he’s still gonna love me tomorrow” showcase the kind of emotional depth that Robyn loves to utilise in her lyrics.

‘Until Tomorrow (I’ve Got The Blues)’ is the latest classy song by this exciting talent. A talent that is ready to lay down her marker in the pop world.
