Track of the Day: The Jamons – Jennifer Lawrence of Arabia
How do I adequately describe The Jamons? A little bit of rock, a dash of indie, some rockabilly and a whole lot of awesome! The foursome from Los Angeles (that’s in the USA) is a highly innovative group comprising skillfully blending genres to form a masterpiece of music. Made up of longtime friends, Chris Glaab, Brandt Shandera, Nicholas Romero and Kennedy use playful lyrics and bold instrumentation to charm any listener.
Reminiscent of Reel Big Fish, Sublime and Madness, The Jamons produce captivating and cheerful lyrics. ‘Jennifer Lawrence Of Arabia’ is an energetic track but with a steadier, slower and smoother sound. This isn’t to say it isn’t a ‘boppy’ (for lack of a better word) track; it wouldn’t be in The Jamons to not have you dancing around in your pyjamas. Either way, it’s definitely a recommended track with effortless vocals and well-placed harmonies.
