‘Moodlighting’ calls softly to you from the ether with a gentle electronic tone. The music enters the soundscape like a light in the distance that steadily becomes bigger and glows with warm colours. This calling sound gradually leads you to a sprinkling of beats that tap from every direction. The deep beats that enter strangely retain the rather chilled vibes of the opening while running with the higher electronic tones. The different electronic tones come together for a really interesting melody that jumps from one melodic line to another. You never quite know where the next electronic step will be but the beats have you jumping down the soundscape with a steady tap.
As the electronic tones grow in the opening, Wisner’s vocals rise with the growing light. His performance has a pale sheen to it that softens the slightly erratic feeling of the melody. When his vocals warp with electronic tones in the chorus, they merge with the melody perfectly. Through all of this, his delivery retains a chilled vibe that has you easily relaxing into it.
