Frank Joshua – Glass (2026)
Now, I don’t know about you, but when a musician tells me they have recorded and released 49 singles in 5 years (give or take), I’m rather impressed. Almost 10 releases per year; now, that’s something, isn’t it? This impressive feat is by singer-songwriter Frank Joshua. Hailing from London, England, Frank Joshua is known for thoughtful, soulful, authentic melodies spanning the realms of pop, indie-pop, and alternative-pop. The latest addition to his discography is the single, ‘Glass’.
Joined by his long-time producer Tony White, ‘Glass’ is a melodic wash of dream-pop. With its twinkling synths, shimmering guitars, and a steady beat keeping the pace, ‘Glass’ emerges as a welcome sonic bubble lifting you across an ambient, cinematic soundscape. Joshua’s rich vocals dance across the melody, enhancing the wistful wonderment and whimsical innocence of the track.
While the arrangement is a breath of fresh air, the theme is a little more profound and weighty. Sincere, sentimental and introspective, ‘Glass’ elaborates on the significance and awareness of getting older. Frank Joshua explains:
“I’m not sure there was a single defining event so much as a gradual realisation that seems to come with getting older. You spend years building things: identity, ambition, a sense of who you are. They can feel solid, even unbreakable. But over time, you start to see how much of that is constructed and how fragile it might actually be. ‘Glass’ came out of that tension. It is less about something breaking, and more about the moment of recognition… Less about declaring anything, more about noticing.”
Hopeful in one way, but also a glance at the poignancy of passing years and its impression on oneself, ‘Glass’ is a song to make you think and relax. The first track off his upcoming fifth album, I am eager to see (or rather hear) more.
In addition to the single, Frank Joshua released an official music video for ‘Glass’. You can view the video below and/or on his YouTube channel. Please note that this video uses lighting effects that can trigger seizures in people with photosensitive epilepsy. Viewer discretion is advised.
