Jaded Jane ft DJ E.T. & JRY – Planet Revolution (2021)
Through the wide tones of ‘Great Western Road’, Jaded Jane had us wandering through a town while searching for ourselves. Now they are teaming up with DJ E.T and JRY for the fictional superhero tale of ‘Planet Revolution’. Connected to the comic book series ‘Beats of War’, the track tells the story of superhero DJ E.T. and his sister.
While a little different to some of the music that is out there, this pop extravaganza brings the best of many worlds together. The pop of comic books meets the shimmer of superheroes and the melodic blast of Jaded Jane. This single comes after a two-year collaboration with DJ E.T. which has led to some amazing growth in the duo’s sound.
‘Planet Revolution’ creeps into your sense like the rays of the sun peeking over the horizon. The lightness of the music slowly builds with a whisper and trickle of tender tones. This gives way to the deep dance beats that have your head bopping to them. it is a really dynamic melody that moves from creeping tenderness to dancing movements and reflective guitars. Each element adds to the narrative of the story in the melody creating a truly cinematic experience. You can see the story play out across your eyelids while the music brings the hit of emotion.
While the melody is a wonderfully dynamic experience, the vocals are the real star of the show. Through the first verse, the lyrics reach out as you are treated to our superhero trying to connect with his sister. There is a touch of understanding in the lyrics that turn into a plea from the sister on the chorus. The falsetto is amazing on the chorus as you are led to a connection that lightens your hearts. The lyrics are fantastic in their storytelling while the vocals bring the context and emotional nuance to the soundscape. Combined with the melody, they fill your senses with the emotions of the story and make you really want to read the comic book.
Jaded Jane team up with JRY and DJ E.T. for the superhero tale of ‘Planet Revolution’ which is packed with emotional connections.
