Modules – We Won’t Break (2026)

If you’re in the mood for heavy metalcore energy, Modules has what you need. With their single ‘We Won’t Break’, they are bringing atmospheric textures, catchy tones and melodic choruses for an explosion of a song. The aggressive rhythms and heavy energy are matched only by the emotionally driven composition, delivering a deeply impactful and infectious listening experience.

Founded in 2015, Modules is made up of Nicholas Cruz Narváez, Alberic Nieves, Hilton Cummings, Omar Garcia and Kelvin Rodriguez, who draw on influences such as Unearth, Volumes, Northlane and Erra for their powerful sound. With a mission to inspire, comfort and connect with listeners, the band’s songs hit themes of love, perspective and personal growth. The band also combines the diverse musical backgrounds of the members to create something unique and truly memorable.

There is a rising build to the opening of ‘We Won’t Break’ as the deep tones of the music slowly emerge from the depths. There is a dark and sombre feeling to the opening that is met by a more cinematic and theatrical higher tone that creates an orchestral and rather epic vibe. The guitars come in with a light touch that breezes through the soundscape as those dark tones take a rest. It is a great movement that draws you into the track before everything takes a complete turn.

The cinematic and atmospheric tones give way to the heavy metal screams of the vocals and the face-melting punch of the guitars. Everything is swept into the rush of the metal melody that transports you into an underground club. While the vocals and melody match in their heaviness, things change again for the chorus, where a more melodic vocal flow takes over. With the pressure of the song closing in on you, the lyrics bring with them something more positive and impactful.

The message of the track is frankly delivered through the lyrics that let you know you can find strength and push against anything that tries to bring you down. It is an empowering message that seeps into your soul as you rock out to the music. It is driven harder into your centre of being through the blistering instrumentation, even as you are sent into the air by the soaring guitar riffs, only to be pulled back to Earth by the downturned grooves.
