Rosso Tierney – Oh Divine (2026)
Raised in a creative environment, singer-songwriter Rosso Tierney was surrounded by art, but it was only later in life that he discovered a unique voice. He shares: “Through years of self-discovery, personal challenges, and spiritual awakening, I found that music was my true calling…” With these intimate experiences, Tierney found individual solace; however, his passion for music and its meaning didn’t stop with some strums in his bedroom. Eager to connect with audiences and create a cathartic space of acceptance, he bound emotional ballads in melodic rock. Join us as we turn up the volume on his most recent release, ‘Oh Divine’.
One interesting aspect of ‘Oh Divine’ is, well, where it came from. Yes, it’s the melodic expression of Tierney’s emotions and an unpicking of human experience; however, the fact that it was a spontaneous composition struck me. Showcasing his natural talent, ‘Oh Divine’ flowed from his fingers on a piano at King’s Cross Station in London – the lyrics honest and reflective, and the music raw emotion. Tierney noted that ”…the response from passersby in that moment revealed the song’s emotional depth…”; so, he took it to Innersound Studio where ‘Oh Divine’ was recorded by producer Sam Graves, with mixing and mastering by Joe Graves.
Conceptually, ‘Oh Divine is an exploration of self-discovery as Tierney explains:“’Oh Divine’ is a deeply personal and transformative single born from a profound inner awakening… the shedding of an old identity and the emergence of a more conscious, connected self. At its core, the narrative reflects the relationship between opposing forces within us – light and dark – inspired by the philosophy of yin and yang. These dual aspects exist in balance, each giving meaning to the other… neither can exist without the other.” Melodically, it’s soothing and tender, and strikes a chord while…well, striking chords.
Shifting from the heavy rock tone of previous single ‘This Gun’, ‘Oh Divine’ is acoustic-driven with a powerful piano leading the track. Guitars and a keyboard weave through the tune – not overly prominent but with a notable presence. A rise and fall of music, with ebbs and flows of forceful and delicate tones, beautifully captures that mentioned “yin and yang” – chaos and torment existing in harmony with gentle tranquillity.
In addition to the single, Tierney released an official music video for ‘Oh Divine’. You can view the video below and/or on his YouTube channel.
