Track of the Day: The Dolphin Show – Fuck Off Dad

After seeing a local band at the town’s annual market day, Will Badger (guitar and vocals), James Suttor (guitar and vocals), Matt Squire (bass) and Aaron Jacobson (drums) decided to get together and form The Dolphin Show. Inspired by a variety of musicians including Queens of the Stone Age, IDLES, Black Sabbath and Iggy Pop, the Aussie foursome have a complex and interesting sound. The latest release from The Dolphin Show is ‘Fuck Off Dad’ – a satirical surf-rock track looking at frustration in father-son relationships.

“This track is a fast, fun slap in the face. A comical critique of father-son frustration. The official music video was created with a level of satire, evident in the hyper-masculine scenes. ‘Fuck Off Dad’ is right in your face from pretty early on, and isn’t to be taken too literally.” – The Dolphin Show on ‘Fuck Off Dad’
