Eva No – Bring Me Flowers (2023)

The brainchild of Swedish translator and singer-songwriter Eva Nordell, Eva No has been tantalising our ears since 2019. From her debut single ‘Run With The Angels’ to her latest track ‘Bring Me Flowers’, Eva No has intoxicated audiences with her infectious music. The Other Side Reviews had the honour of reviewing her singles ‘100%’ and ‘You Don’t Know’, but we are not the only ones whose heads have been turned. With coverage from Sinusoidal Music, Mesmerized, and Sweden’s Pop Muzik, Eva No is quickly garnering a following on an international scale.

Following the singles ‘Smile At Christmas’ and ‘Här är ditt liv’, ‘Bring Me Flowers’ is Eva No’s first release of 2023. Potentially categorised as a pop song, ‘Bring Me Flowers’ has the upbeat, jovial tone we get from artists like Roxette and The Beatles. Yet, while a mellifluous pop vibe has prominence, the energetic single is rather eclectic drawing together elements of jazz in the melody. Tinged with hints of Latin sounds, Eva No proves her versatility as a kaleidoscopic artist.

Warm, bold and dynamic but with a softer, soothing gentleness, ‘Bring Me Flowers’ can have you dancing or chilling out with an iced drink on a lounger in the sun. Just as the melody can have you relaxing, the elegant vocals bring a shimmering lightness to ‘Bring Me Flowers’. Eva No’s dulcet tones meld perfectly with the dreaminess of the song.

Sweden is filled with infectious, contagious music regardless of the genre you enjoy. Producing The Cardigans, Avicii, Roxette, Ace of Base, ABBA and Eagle-Eye Cherry, we all found ourselves completely immersed in the power of their music at one point. After listening to her music, you will also find yourself immersed in the power of Eva No.
