Glow Beets – Same Wave (2020)
You might remember Glow Beets from our review of his remix single ‘Us Against The World’. Now he is back with his ninth release of the year, ‘Same Wave’. This time he has teamed up with emerging Argentinian vocalist NT Martin for a tropical dance track that is simply bursting at the seams. Full of bouncing plucky notes, the track will get you moving to the beat and feeling uplifted.
As with his other releases, Glow Beets enhances the original vocals from NT Martin instead of changing it for the remix. The message of love, compassion and companionship shines through as the protagonist of the track is on the same wave as a loved one. The dynamics of the single soaks you in sunshine and hammers the message home.
The plucky beats hit you from the start of ‘Same Wave’. The melody of the remix has this wonderful uplifting tone that gets you into the positive vibes of the track. There are these electronic piano lines that smoothly line up with the loops. The melody has this great build-up during the verses to set the dance tones of the chorus that gets you moving.
While the melody has been mixed up, the vocals have largely been left intact. This allows Martin’s voice to shine to the feel-good beats. This continues with the goal of Glow Beets to highlight the original emerging artists. You can get lost in Martin’s vocals as you bounce to the beats which showcase the best of both worlds.
