GOHAR – Fairy (2026)

Armenian-born but now based in Austria, GOHAR found a passion for music at a young age, which led her to training at the Mozarteum University in Salzburg; however, all the classical finesse and operatic stage didn’t stick. Turning to a love for alternative-pop, RnB and Armenian traditional folk, GOHAR went from a world of orchestral being to one of individuality and raw honesty without boundaries. What began as a career as an opera singer turned into an independent singer-songwriter using self-taught production techniques and shaping a sound with raw, honest, emotional finesse. The latest addition to her discography is the single, ‘Fairy’.

Following her singles ‘Snake In The Garden’ and ‘Best For You’, ‘Fairy’ retains the strong alt-pop obscurity heard in previous material; however, it seems softer, smoother and easier to digest than the up-tempo, high-speed hype of ‘Snake In The Grass’. Co-produced by GOHAR and Madrug Mateus (mixing and mastering), listening to ‘Fairy’ is like entering the enigmatic realm of fairies and imps. Twinkling about you, the glistening lights spark off smooth synths. A bold beat acts like a guiding hand, while gentle keyboards calm the waves of the sonic dance.

The tune itself is enchanting, and you can imagine fairies soaring with cheeky imps peeping from the sonic tress. It is, however, GOHAR’s vocals that simultaneously send chills down your skin while embracing you with haunting but comfortable caress. You can hear the classical training, but a lilt inserts free-falling vulnerability in her dulcet voice. Interestingly, this vulnerability and fragility perfectly align with the weighty theme. GOHAR explains:

“To me, the fairy is the keeper of everything I thought I’d lost. She moves through the overgrown parts of my inner garden – gathering forgotten memories, abandoned dreams, every version of myself I left behind just to survive. If it didn’t happen to me, I can’t sing about it.”

In addition to the single, GOHAR released an official music video for ‘Fairy’. You can view the video below and/or on her YouTube channel.
