JK Jerome – Any Moment Now (2026)
Using personal experiences to create universal moments of solace, JK Jerome draws on individual challenges for a musical community. Intimate, intriguing and tender, the UK-based singer-songwriter might have only a couple of touching tunes to stream, but his music has already turned international heads. Performances at notable festivals, such as the Isle of Wight Festival, airplay on radio stations like Amazing Radio (UK and USA), and features in publications such as No Transmission and Plastic Magazine, JK Jerome reaches far beyond his English borders. Join us as we jump into his latest single, ‘Any Moment Now’.
Following the well-received debut track, ‘Profanity’, ‘Any Moment Now’ is a solid indie-folk song with lingering hints of dream-pop fluttering across the arrangement. Almost as if you are staring across a sonic pool as it glistens, while lines of shimmering synths slip across. While the track has that dreamy, cinematic vibe, there is an acoustic-driven attitude in the arrangement. An acoustic guitar matches percussion, offering a stripped-back, bare-bones tone – a sound that is becoming distinctively JK Jerome and no one else.
Easy to hear, with languid sincerity sweeping across the single, ‘Any Moment Now’ is a sigh of relief. Interestingly, while the track has that charming breath of calm, it is far more profound, digging into the intricacies of an ending relationship. Jerome shares that ‘Any Moment Now’, ”…captures the suspended silence before a relationship ends – a tulip in ash, something still beautiful cut at the stem…”
Some songs are simple to hear and describe, and then some songs are complex and a little more challenging to fully explain – ‘Any Moment Now’ sits between the two states. It charms and soothes, but offers an endearing vulnerability and fragility that isn’t quite straightforward. What I do know is ‘Any Moment Now’ is a song I highly recommend, whether you’re a fan of folk or not. With the mention of a debut EP later in the year, I wait with bated breath for more from JK Jerome.
