Karlo Bromsen is no newcomer to the music scene as the voice of the indie-tronic act Bromsen, but he is now branching out with his first solo single. ‘Parlin Papito’ is more than an introduction to Bromsen as a solo artist; it is also the introduction of the character Papito. A tiny hand-drawn cartoon, he is based on the drawings of Bromsen’s son and popped out of a corked bottle to enter a surreal world.
The single itself is a combination of playful pop energy and electronic elements with melodic songwriting. As quirky as the character that inspired it, the single is packed with offbeat storytelling, which is only made better by the accompanying music video.
