The Adel Gomez Band – As Soon As Tomorrow (2026)
Creating what they refer to as “groove rock”, The Adel Gomez Band grabs the glittering colours of various genres and blends them into a sparkling sonic tapestry, bringing fresh feelings to old-school pop, blues and rock sounds. In 2019, singer-songwriter and guitarist Adel Gomez moved to Scotland to, unknowingly, discover an unexpected passion for music. In 2022, after dealing with some personal challenges, Gomez began composing intimate, relatable, honest and authentic songs for “…anyone who craves authentic connections and real music made from the soul… for those tired of pretending, waking up to deeper meaning, and ready to break free from life’s frustrating loop.”
Teaming up with musician and friend Ivan Tolosana, Gomez began releasing music last year with ‘Fake It Til’ You Make It’ – or at least according to Spotify. Skip ahead a year, and the UK-based collective hit our ears with their most recent single, ‘As Soon As Tomorrow’.
Following the single, ‘Possibility’, ‘As Soon As Tomorrow’ is a guitar-driven rock tune, dragging me back to the 1990s pop-rock scene. From the outset, you’ll find yourself tapping your toe, nodding your head, and even swaying your body a little – a swaying that only increases as the song continues. In a harmonic groove, the pulsating drums and soaring guitar entwine with Gomez’s rich vocals, lifting your heart, sparking optimism, hope, and happiness.
For me, it is not the raw instrumentation or sensational guitar riffs that plonk you in the middle of a live session instead of listening from your armchair. No, it’s Gomez’s vocals. Smooth and serene with a whiff of grittier rock tones. Moreover, the lyrics executed in a charmingly elegant and sophisticated, but still raw and vulnerable, way enhance the moving message. Gomez explains:
“‘As Soon As Tomorrow’ is our new single…an anthem about courage, honesty, and taking risks: even when everything feels uncertain… The track carries a message of trusting your instincts and going after what feels real.”
Fun, refreshing, and oozing with sincerity, ‘As Soon As Tomorrow’ is a wonderful introduction to The Adel Gomez Band.
