Django Novo – Another Moon (2026)

Known for confident performances and raw, emotional melodies, singer-songwriter Django Novo can enchant audiences whether it’s a live show or merely streaming the songs via Spotify (or any other platform you prefer). Hailing from Norway, Novo approaches music with authenticity, innovation and originality across genres. From alternative-pop to indie-pop, R&B and soul, Novo captures the heart of diversity with his music; however, and this is just me, there appears to be a jazz-tinged ambience washing over many of his recordings. Today, we’re turned toward an Americana vibe in ‘Another Moon’.

Following his single ‘Sometimes I Lose My Faith (Warning)’, Django Novo steps into 2026 with ‘Another Moon’. Self-recorded and produced at Hansstudio – a cabin in Espa, Norway – ‘Another Moon’ is, in a word, intimate. A flowing combination of dynamic drums and soaring guitars, the track has a mellifluous rhythm, but within the calm, languid soothing of the song, there is a heartbreaking melancholy. A perfect expression of how silence can be painful, and poignant quiet is angrier, louder and more powerful than the greatest scream.

Delving into the complexities of relationships, or rather broken hearts, ‘Another Moon’ unpicks the sometimes befuddling emotion of losing, yearning, hoping, and knowing it’s just not going to work. Novo’s vocals offer equal grit and richness, warmth and chilling, and you can almost hear him cry while still looking up with a wan smile. Novo explains:

”’Another Moon’ is… a deeply personal testament to heartbreak and longing. This original single was born from genuine loss… channelling the experience of losing love into lyrics that explore the haunting persistence of memory and the search for remedy in a world that continues around us.”

The soulful blend of guitars, drums, and the off-kilter vocals is moving, but, for me, it is the saxophone that ups the ante. Sleek and a little sexy, the sax shines with an all-consuming brightness in this ill-begotten darkness. However, while it has a lightness, it also compounds the profoundness of an ailing soul. This is my introduction to Django Novo, and I am eager to hear more.
