A simplistic rush of refined rock music, ‘Letter From Paulus’ is one of those tracks that sends tingles across your skin with complete ease. A sonic rollercoaster driven by an acoustic piano, ‘Letter From Paulus’ pushes and pulls, ebbs and flows, rocks too and fro with a basic, almost bare-bones acoustic delivery. Yet, while the melody is simple, the pace reminds me of a person running toward something bright as the gritty vocals seemingly carry you along with an unpolished yet simultaneously sophisticated air.
Sincere and sentimental, Fish And Scale breathes life into the Apostle’s words in his moving track, ‘Letter From Paulus’. I am once again left flabbergasted, in a good way, and, as with most of his singles, will be hitting that repeat button. I recommend you do the same.
