Gintsugi – Battlefield (2026)

Teetering on the line between collapse and catharsis, rage and reflection, angst and solace, silence and riot, Gintsugi speaks to audiences with confident vulnerability in timeless intimacy. Hailing from France, Gintsugi’s distinctive sound transcends boundaries and, while this is our first step into her musical journey, has placed her as a force in the music industry. From enchanting stage presence to working with notable music industry professionals, she asks profound questions while delicately dancing across the soundscape. The latest addition to her discography is the single ‘Battlefield’.

Following her critically acclaimed album, The Elephant In The Room, ‘Battlefield’ is Gintsugi’s first release in three years. Mystical and enigmatic, listening to ‘Battlefield’ is like being drawn into a misty sonic field that twinkles with an ethereal energy. You turn one way, and there’s a wistful air cradling the slender trees; you turn another way, and you can see the fairies peeping from the bushes and dancing atop the glistening pools. Calm, chilled and tranquil, but with this palpable awe leaving you breathless.

Now I’ve set the imagery, here’s the melody. Produced by FAV, with mastering by Maurizio Sarnicola, ‘Battlefield’ combines Gintsugi’s polished piano with lingering synths and a pointed beat sitting in the fore. Add her siren-like vocals, and a sense of fragility sweeps across the track. However, just as there is a skin-tingling delicacy, the poetic lyricism nags with profound contemplation and poignancy. Gintsugi explains:

“’Battlefield’ arrives as an emotionally charged reflection on modern relationships and a quiet challenge to the cultural belief that love must be painful to be real…. the track captures relationships caught between connection and collapse. But beneath the tension lies a deeper question: if love feels like a battlefield, is that passion or conditioning?”
