Salt House Lavish is back with some fresh music in the form of ‘Alley Cat’. The new single is taken from his upcoming album Fraternise – Collaborate and came to life from a meander into the world of royalty-free vocal samples. Growing from a simple vocal sample, the single bubbles with riffs and dance beats to pull you into the soundscape.
Using his abilities as a multi-instrumentalist, Salt House Lavish twists melodic elements to his needs while building them into something truly special. After being interviewed for BBC Introducing, he felt a boost of confidence that got his new music really moving. The vocals that open ‘Alley Cat’ have a wonderfully seductive and sultry vibe. There is a delightful hook in the vocals that sinks into your brain and will not shift for the entire single.
