Shobsy – Silver Line Livin’ (2026)

Today, we take a quiet moment sitting back and listening to his latest single, ‘Silver Line Livin’.

Should you fancy yourself some George Michael or The Weeknd, then you’re in for a real treat with ‘Silver Line Livin’. Breathing life into whispers of old-school George Michael, I was immediately dragged back to his 1996 Older era; a time of soul, R&B, pop and jazz executed with elegance and, well, soul. Grabbing those vibes, ‘Silver Line Livin’ holds to the precision and charm of songs like ‘You Have Been Loved’, ‘Older’ and the iconic duet ‘As’ with Mary J Blige; however, a sliver of something new exists within the vintage folds.

Produced by Shobsy and Regan, ‘Silver Line Livin’ brims with sophistication. Each note allows you to dance across the track, enjoying the warm vibrance of its bold beats, sleek synths, and a clip of horns peeping from the background. Yet, while there is a well-crafted flow to the melody, it seems to linger between pointed soul and whimsical pop; a sort of airiness fluttering across well-defined tones. It’s an interesting aspect, this oscillation, but it can also leave you feeling a little unsure or off-point.

Executed with rich, almost honey-soaked vocals, ‘Silver Line Livin’ is an intriguing song that will probably do really well. It might not be the most memorable tune I’ve played over the past week, but it’ll stand out because I’m a big George Michael fan. Hit the play button; it’s worth the three-and-a-half minutes.
