The Sonic Travelers – I Still Love You More Each Day (2026)
For about five decades, give or take, singer-songwriters George Aiello and John Ingram have built a long-time musical collaboration based on original songwriting and genuine friendship. Hey, you have to get along to continue working with each other since the 1970s! As The Sonic Travelers, the US-based pair work on the philosophy of creating music “about the song… every song should be free to become what it wants to be.”
It’s a simple motto, but in today’s world of intricate production, songwriting, networking and whatnot, keeping things simple isn’t all that easy. Yet, this is what The Sonic Travelers do. Sauntering through and inspired by various genres from pop to folk, Americana and rock, Aiello and Ingram grab music by its scruff, shake it a little, and what falls happens to fall. The latest addition to their discography is the single, ‘I Still Love You More Each Day’.
Intending to bring songs from their back catalogue to modern-day audiences, ‘I Still Love You More Each Day’ was initially a song penned by Aiello as a wedding anniversary gift to his wife. Lyrically and thematically, the track is heartfelt, tender and unpacks the sentimentalities of a lasting love. The Sonic Travelers explain:
“’I Still Love You More Each Day’ is a reflection on a relationship that has grown closer over time without losing its simplicity. It looks at how things began, the memories that followed, and the steady realisation that the connection continues to deepen… how familiarity, shared history, and time can strengthen rather than diminish what two people have.”
Following the tracks ‘Home To Stay’ and ‘Caroline’, ‘I Still Love You More Each Day’ was produced by George Aiello as a “contemporary country duet”. An acoustic guitar strums along with a bass guitar, while a piano flutters harmonically with the dynamic drums. The thing is, while the melody and songwriting are entirely original, the gritty AI-generated male and female vocals tend to add an extra special something-something to calm, ease and enhance the enduring love factor.
